One killed in Azimpur road crash

A man was killed after being crashed by an unknown vehicle in the capital’s Azimpur Bus Stand area on Monday (March 20) morning.

The deceased was identified as bus helper Sanwar Hossain, 26, hailed from Polashia village in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur.

Jahid Hossain, another helper, said Sanwar was critically injured after an unknown vehicle ran him over in the bus stand area.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared him dead around 8am.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, said DMCH police outpost In-Charge Md Bacchu Mia.
