Gas outage to hit some areas in Dhaka Wednesday

Gas supply will remain suspended for eight hours in some areas of the capital Dhaka tomorrow (March 22) due to emergency repair work of gas pipeline.

This was confirmed in a press release issued from Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd on Tuesday (March 21).

Gas supply in some areas of Dhaka involving Minto Road, Eskaton, Paribagh, Habibullah Raod, BIRDEM, Dhaka Club, Hotel Intercontinental, Holy Family, Kawran Bazar, Old Elephant Road, Officers Club, Hatirpul PDB quarter, Dhaka University and BUET areas will remain suspended due to emergency repair work of gas pipeline, according to the press release.

Residents of these areas will not get gas for eight hours starting from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, the press release said.

Titas authorities apologized to the residents of those areas for the inconvenience.
