Govt to sell meat, eggs at lower prices during Ramadan

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock will sell meat, eggs, and milk at lower prices in the capital from March 23, and it will continue till the 28th of Ramadan.

Fisheries and livestock minister SM Rezaul Karim will launch the sale of these items formally at a function in Dhaka around 3:00 pm on March 23.

The special program will run in 20 spots in the capital. Under the campaign, beef will be sold at Tk640 per kg, mutton at Tk940 per kg, dressed broiler chicken at Tk340 per kg, milk at Tk80 per litre and eggs at Tk10 each.

The places where these products will be sold are - Abdul Gani Road adjacent to the Secretariat, Khamarbari, Japan Garden City in Mohammadpur, Mirpur Shat Fut Rasta, Azimpur Matrisadan, Nayabazar in Old Dhaka, Arambagh, New Bazaar, Kalshi in Mirpur, Khilgaon Railgate, Lucas Mor in Nakhalpara, Segunbagicha Kacha Bazar, Basila of Mohammadpur, Diabari of Uttara, Jatrabari, Gabtali, Hazaribagh, Karail Basti of Banani, Kamrangirchar and Rampura.
