Ramadan begins in 50 villages of Chandpur

Residents of about 50 villages in Chandpur district began the fasting month of Ramadan on Thursday, in accordance with Saudi Arabia.

The villagers have been celebrating all religious festivals like Eid and Ramadan on the lines of Saudi Arabia since 1928.

The residents of the villages across the upazilas of Faridganj, Matlab North, Kachua and Shahrasti offered their Tarabi prayers Wednesday night and began their dawn-to-sunset fast after having ‘Sehri’ before sunrise.
