DNCC Mayor takes Iftar with floating people

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Atiqul Islam has taken an initiative to organize an Iftar party for poor and low-income people during the whole Ramadan. 

On Friday (March 24), the first day of Ramadan, Iftar party was organized in front of Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan of the capital.

The mayor took Iftar with the poor and low-income people on the day.

Before Iftar, DNCC Mayor interacted with the underprivileged and deprived children. At that time, the children rejoiced with the mayor.

The mayor said this initiative has been taken thinking about the poor and people with limited income. Iftar will be available throughout the month of Ramadan at this location. This Iftar will be opened to everyone during Iftar, not only for the poor or low-income people.

He said it would have been nice to have Iftar with family on the first fast day. But, it feels even better to come here to have Iftar with the underprivileged children. This is a small effort to put a smile on the faces of these people. For me it is very pleasant. In the month of Ramadan, there will be a request to everyone, be it corporate or personal, in this month of Ramadan everyone should stand by the common people as much as possible.
