PM expresses deep shock at Nure Alam Siddiqui’s death

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed profound shock at the death of former Chhatra League Foundation president and Member of Parliament from Jhenidah-2 and a Liberation War organizer Nure Alam Siddiqui.

She prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.

In a message of condolence, Sheikh Hasina said, Nure Alam Siddiqui participated in the language movement and the six-point movement and played an active role in all the political activities of that time. He served as the president of the Chhatra League during 1970-1972. He had an important role during the Liberation War.

Nure Alam Siddiqui breathed his last early Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the United Hospital in the capital.
