26.30 lakh unemployed in Bangladesh

The number of unemployed people has reduced a little bit in the country. Currently the number of unemployed persons here is 26.30 lakh. Among them, 16.90 lakh are male and 16.90 lakh are female.

Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) released the data in Labour Force Survey (LFS)-2022 on Wednesday (March 22).

The rate of unemployed population in the country has now reduced to 3.6 percent, which was earlier 4.2 percent, according to BBS.

Moreover, the country now has 7.7crore working people. Of them, agriculture sector has the highest number of working people. The number is 3.22 crore, said the report.
