Ex-MP Arzu relieved from rape case after getting married to victim

A Dhaka tribunal has relieved former Awami League lawmaker from Pabna-2 Khandokar Azizul Haque Arzu from the charges of a rape case after he got married to the victim.

Dhaka’s Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-5 Judge Begum Samsunnahar handed down the order on Wednesday (March 29).

Earlier on March 13, the court granted bail on condition of getting married to the victim. As per condition, he got married to the girl.
