Case filed against Prothom Alo editor under DSA

A case has been filed against Matiur Rahman, editor of the country’s leading newspaper, Prothom Alo, with Ramna Thana under the Digital Security Act.

A man named Abdul Malek alias Mashiur Malek filed the case on Wednesday night against Matiur Rahman, reporter Shamsuzzaman Shams, an unnamed assistant cameraman and unnamed others.

They have been accused for tarnishing the image and reputation of the state through using print, online, and electronic media.

Ramna Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hasan confirmed the news.
