9 pairs of special train to be operated for Eid journey

Bangladesh Railway will operate nine pairs of special trains on different routes in a bid to ensure comfortable journey for holidaymakers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The trains will run to the specific destinations every day from April 16. No intercity trains will run on Eid day.

Besides, the leave of important officials of Bangladesh Railways (BR) has been cancelled in a bid to handle growing number of passengers ahead of Eid.

Bangladesh Railway earlier this month announced that no passengers would be allowed to enter railway stations without a ticket ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
