Narayanganj steel mill explosion: All burnt 7 die

Another person died from the explosion that took place at a steel re-rolling mill in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj.

With this, all the people burnt in the explosion succumbed to their injuries.

Md Ibrahim, 35, succumbed to his burn injuries while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery with 28% burn injuries around 9:30 am on Wednesday (May 10).

Dr. SM Ayub Hossain, resident surgeon of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Ibrahim suffered 28 per cent burns on his body. 

The explosion took place on Thursday (May 4) afternoon when workers were melting iron at the mill in Rupganj. 

Seven workers were injured in the explosion.
