BNP suffering from heartburn over rise in remittance: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that BNP has been suffering from heartburn because of increasing remittance inflow of Bangladesh government. Any progress and success of Bangladesh has been revealed repeatedly through the negative statements of Mirza Fakhrul and other leaders of BNP.

He said that Mirza Fakhrul’s objective statement about the increase in remittance inflow from the US has been repeated. It is usual those who look to foreign masters like birds asking for sanctions against the country and people will not be able to accept the good news of increase in remittances in any way.

He said this in a statement on Tuesday (May 30).

Obaidul Quader said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s timely decision to provide 2.5 percent incentive on remittances sent by expatriates has increased the flow of remittances. At the same time, due to the successful leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, the strong economic structure of Bangladesh has been established and Bangladesh has been recognized as a safe place for investment.

He said BNP is the political party that wants to create a situation like Sri Lanka in Bangladesh, that wants to create an economic crisis in the country by discouraging expatriates from sending remittances through legal channels by opposing the government. So, BNP leaders are not happy with the good news of remittance inflow.

In the statement, he said, the current government has set a precedent of enacting effective laws to prevent money laundering and punishing the culprits exemplary. On the other hand, corruption and money laundering were institutionalized during the ill-fated BNP-Jamaat alliance regime. Khaleda Zia’s sons built a paradise of corruption, looting and money laundering by opening Hawa Bhaban. FBI has testified about their corruption and money laundering. Money smuggled by Khaleda Zia’s sons has been brought back from Singapore.

Awami League General Secretary said there is no reason for Awami League to worry about the visa policy of the United States, instead, BNP is getting panicked. BNP has been identified as a terrorist organization in the international arena for its acts of arson and destruction of hundreds of innocent people and for sponsoring radical-communal militant groups and terrorist activities. Even the High Court of Canada recognized BNP as a terrorist organization. But instead of repenting of their past misdeeds, they are indulging in new conspiracies.

Obaidul Quader said under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, democracy and voting rights have been established in Bangladesh through the end of long autocracy. Specific laws have been enacted for the formation of the Election Commission and the overall capacity of the electoral system has been increased, including the development of infrastructure and expansion of technical facilities. Gazipur City Corporation elections have been held in a free, fair, impartial and peaceful environment under the Election Commission.

Stating that the upcoming general election will also be held in a free, impartial, fair and peaceful manner, he said that this is the determination of Sheikh Hasina’s government. The disunited BNP is afraid of participating in the elections, knowing that it is certain to lose. With BNP leader Khaleda Zia convicted by the court for embezzling orphans’ money and BNP Acting Chairman Ekushey August mastermind of the infernal grenade attack Tarique Rahman absconding abroad, they have no leader to lead in the electoral field; That’s why BNP does not have the honest courage to participate in the elections.

Therefore, they are continuing conspiracies at home and abroad to disrupt the elections and disrupt the democratic and constitutional system. The people of Bangladesh will resist all conspiracies under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter at any cost and will continue the trend of development, progress and prosperity.
