“Load shedding to continue for few more days”

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that the ongoing load shedding will continue for some more days due to fuel crisis.
The minister said this while addressing a program at Daffodil University in Savar on Saturday (June 3).
He said the temperature has risen too much. Temperature in some areas has become 40-41 degrees. Load shedding is underway right now. We are sorry for that. The ongoing load shedding will continue for a few more days.
Nasrul Hamid also said that one unit of Payra thermal power plant has been shut down since May 25, the second unit will be completely shut down after June 5. Because there is shortage of coal. Some 20-25 days will be required to get the coal.
Nahim Razzaq, Convener of Climate Parliament Bangladesh and Parliamentary Standing Committee Member, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the function as special guest.
