Death of two siblings: Chairman, MD of pest control company arrested

Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested the chairman and managing director of the pest control company in connection with the death of two siblings at a house in the capital’s Basundhara residential area.
A team of DB police arrested them from Brahmanbaria on Thursday (June 8) morning.
Moshiur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Lalbagh DB police, confirmed this. They will hold a press conference in this regard today, he also said.
According to sources, the parents of Shayan, 15, and Shahil, 9, called in the pest control workers of a company at their Basundhara residence to kill cockroaches on Friday (June 2). After spraying inside the house, the workers told the parents of Shayan and Shahil not to enter the residence for six hours. The family members returned to the house spending six hours and then went to sleep.
Getting awoke from sleep on the following morning, the youngest son Shahil fell sick. Then his elder brother Shayan also fell sick. The two siblings were taken to a private hospital where doctors pronounced them Shahir dead.
Mobarak Hossain, father of the two children, filed a case accusing three people with Bhatara Police Station, over the death of his two sons.
