BNP leader Aslam’s trial begins

A Dhaka court has framed charges against BNP’s Joint Secretary General Aslam Chowdhury in a case filed for amassing illegal assets.

Dhaka Special Judge’s Court-4 Judge Sayed Arafat Hossain framed the charges on Thursday.

Later, the court set July 10 for testimony in the case.

His lawyer Taherul Islam Towhid filed an acquittal application but the court rejected it.

On December 24 of 2019, Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Md Nasir Uddin filed the case against the BNP leader.
