Oil tanker-lorry collision kills one in Chattogram

A man was killed and several others were injured in a collision between a wagon and a lorry in Saltgola rail crossing of Chittagong city on Thursday night.

The accident occurred around 10:30pm.

The deceased could not be identified immediately. 

Rezaul Haque, sub-inspector of Bandar police station, confirmed the news.

“An oil-carrying wagon was passing the Saltgola crossing and it collided with a chemical-laden lorry, leaving one dead on the spot”, he said.

On information, four units from Port and EPZ Fire Stations reached the spot, he added.
