Woman ‘burned to death’ in capital: Husband arrested

A housewife named Nina Khan, 43, has allegedly been burnt to death in the capital’s Rampura area.
Police arrested her husband Gias Uddin from Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital on Thursday night on charge of burning his wife to death.
The death body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy, in-charge of police outpost of DMCH Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the news.
Officer-in-Charge of Rampura Thana Rafiqul Islam said being informed police has arrested Gias Uddin, and a process is underway to file a case.
Nina Khan’s brother Shawkat Hossain said Nina got married to Gias Uddin in April 2012. Both used to work in an insurance company.
Shawkat Hossain alleged his sister was killed in cold blood.
