Job seekers tear-off ‘certificates’ at Shahbagh

Job seekers have blocked Shahbagh with three-point demand, including raising the age limit for applying for government jobs. Meanwhile, the protesters tore their ‘symbolic certificates’.
The protesters demanded that the government should extend the age limit for government jobs from 30 years to 35 years. Students from several institutions joined the rally on Saturday (June 10).
Shariful Hasan Shuvo, convener of the central committee of the organization, presided over the protest rally.
The three-point demand are- the age limit for applying for government jobs should be 35 years, the application fee for employment should be Tk 200 maximum and Bangabandhu Law Complex (Bangabandhu chair and a mural) should be set up in the Faculty of Law of Dhaka University.
