11 die of dengue in 11 days of June

Some 11 dengue patients died in 11 days of June while 1,188 hospitalised with the virus across the country during the period.

A total of 22 people died of dengue this year so far. More than 3,000 were admitted to different private and public hospital with infection of the virus.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), two dengue patients died in the last 24 hours till 8:00 on Sunday (June 10). Some 189 patients got admitted to different hospitals during the period. Of them, 136 are in Dhaka while the rest is out side of the capital city.

A total of 3,210 dengue patients got admitted to hospitals this year so far. Of them, 2,412 are in Dhaka.

In 2022, a record 281 dengue patients lost their battles to the virus while 62,382 hospitalised.
