BNP announces 31 points plan to rebuild country

BNP announced a 31-point outline aimed at reforming the constitution and state system and ensuring economic emancipation.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir declared the demands while addressing a press conference at BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office Thursday (July 13).

Mirza Fakhrul said, "The plan we are forming is not only for us, it is for the whole country; the plan is for bringing qualitative change in the whole country. The outline is prepared based on discussions with other parties."

He also said, "People of Bangladesh, with the dream of establishing democracy and equality, human dignity and social justice for all citizens, built the state through the great Liberation War in exchange for an ocean of blood, today they do not own the state."

BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Selima Rahman attended the press conference.
