Masood Sayeedi among 5000 Jamaat men sued in Shahbag case

Masood Sayeedi among 5000 Jamaat-Shibir men have been sued in a case filed with the capital’s Shahbag Police Station over attack and vandalization at Shahbag intersection and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) premises while taking body of convicted war criminal Delawar Hossain Sayedi, who got jail until death in a case filed for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.

Shahbag Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nur Mohammad confirmed the information to risingbd on Wedenesday (August 16) afternoon.

He said, “Police filed the case with the Shahbag Police Station on Tuesday (August 15). Allegations for creating barriers to government works, attack and vandalisations have been brought in the case.”

It was learned that Shahbag Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Zabber filed the case.

Mentionable, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi passed away at around 8:40 pm on Monday (August 14) while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital.
