PM leaves for New York on September 17

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for New York on September 17 to attend the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA78).

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told reporters in a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

The Prime Minister will address the UNGA on September 22. She will also attend a dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden, he said.

World leaders will gather in New York for the opening of the 78th session of the General Assembly (UNGA 78) under the theme, “Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress and the sustainability for all.”
