US for holding free, fair elections in Bangladesh

Uzra Zeya, Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights at the US Department of State, in a meeting with Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen has put emphasis on holding a free and fair election in Bangladesh.

She made the emphasis on the sideline meeting of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Uzra Zeya said, “A fruitful discussion has been held with Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen during the sideline meeting of the UNGA. Free and fair elections, freedom of expression, Rohingya and continued humanitarian assistance for their host communities were discussed in the meeting.”
