AC who set bribe for land mutation suspended

Nazirpur Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Pirojpur Masudur Rahman, who allegedly set bribe for land mutation, has been suspended.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday. 

It has also recommended to take department actions against him as the primary allegation has been proved.

An audio clip of Nazirpur upazila assistant commissioner (Land), where he was heard setting bribe rate for land mutation, has gone viral.

In the leaked audio statement, he directed the union land assistant officers in a meeting to fix Tk 6,000 as ‘bribe for land mutation’ while the government set Tk 1,170 fee for the service.
