3 children crushed under train in capital’s Mohakhali

Three children were crushed under the wheels of a train in the capital’s Mohakhali area early Saturday.

The incident took place after 6.00am, but it was disclosed on Saturday evening.

Officer-in-Charge of Kamalapur Railway Thana Ferdous Ahmed Biswas said, a Dewanganj-bound commuter train left Dhaka around 6.00am. The train hit three children when they were crossing the rail line, leaving them dead on the spot. The identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

The children were aged around 10 to 14 years. A case of unnatural deaths has been filed.
