Dengue death toll surpasses 900

16 more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Sunday (September 24), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 909.

According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 3,008 new dengue patients were hospitalised.

During the period, 812 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 2,196 were admitted to different hospitals outside it, the DGHS daily statement added.

With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 1,87,725, the statement said, adding this year, some 1,76,346 patients were released from different hospitals out of the total patients.
