Nothing to do as per law: Anisul Huq

Law Minister Anisul Huq has said the government has nothing to do to send BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment as per the legal aspect.

The minister came up the remark while responding to a question of a journalist at the Secretariat on Monday noon.  

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia got the conditional release according to the section 401 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. If any change is brought in this legal position then her conditional release will have to be canceled first. Then other things may be considered in this regard, the minister opined.

According to the law, an application will be sent to the Home Ministry first and the Home Ministry will send it to the Law Ministry for opinion. So, there is no race between the two ministry.
