No income tax from freelancers: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has said that freelancers will not have to pay tax at source on their incomes.

The state minister said this while speaking at a programme ‘BFSI Cloud and Cyber Security’  organized by Facility Internet Data Center at a hotel in the city on Saturday.

The freelancing sector will be free from all income tax.  They will also get a 4 per cent incentive on remittances, he said.

The information about imposing taxes on freelancers is a rumour, he said.
