“It is important to stop illegal arms ahead of elections”

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman said it is important to stop illegal arms ahead of elections. The criminals who are released from jail, have been ordered to undergo strict monitoring.

The DMP commissioner said this while addressing a press conference at DMP center on Monday (October 2).

He said that if any organization tries to hold programs without permission, action will be taken against them without fear.

In reply to a question, he said there will be no problem for the police in the visa policy that the US has recently introduced. They will perform their duties with professionalism and efficiency. Visa policy will not affect police work.

Additional police commissioner (admin) AKM Hafiz Akter, Crime and Operations Dr. K Mahid Uddin, Additional Police Commissioner (Logistic and Finance) Ashrafuzzaman, Traffic police chief Md Munibur Rahman and others attended the program.
