NBR officials ends complete shutdown programme

Officials of the National Board of Revenue have withdrawn their complete shutdown program.

NBR Reforms Unity Council President Hasan Mohammad Tarek revealed the information in a press conference on Sunday noon (June 29).

BCI President Anwarul Alam Chowdhury Parvez, Hasan Muhammad Tarek Rikabder, President of the NBR Reform Unity Council and Additional Commissioner spoke in the press conference.

Former FBCCI President Mir Nasir Hossain, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, Syed Nasim Manjur, MD of Apex Footwear, a leather goods manufacturer and exporter, and former president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and others attended the program.

The shutdown was part of a broader programme by NBR officers and employees, who are demanding the removal of the NBR chairman and addressing other issues.
