The Detective Branch (DB) of police allegedly picked up Mojibur Rahman Manju, the member secretary of Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party).
AB Party issued a press release in this regard on Monday (July 29) night.
The party’s publicity secretary Anwar Sadat said on Tuesday (July 30) morning that family members have confirmed that Mojibur Rahman Manju was taken from his home in the Mirpur DOHS area at 12:30 AM. The individuals who took him identified themselves as DB Police.
However, the DB has not informed the family or the party of Manju’s location since then.
“Mojibur Rahman Manju has been unwell for several days, having been injured in police firing,” Anwar Sadat added.
The AB Party has strongly protested the incident and demanded immediate and unconditional release of Manju.
