Khaleda won`t go to national memorial

Staff Correspondent: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not placewreath at the national memorial to show tribute to the martyrs on the occasion of Independence Day on March 26.

But, a delegation of BNP on behalf of Khaleda Zia will show tribute at the national memorial.

A source of the party confirmed the matter.

Earlier, Khaleda skipped paying respects to language martyrs in the first hour of the International Mother Language Day.

Every year the BNP Chairperson visited national memorial to pay tribute to the martyrs but this year Khaleda Zia will stay home due to blockade programme.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia kept herself locked inside her Gulshan party office, demanding a free and fair election, even she did not participate in her son Koko`s funeral prayers.
