Police detains BNP leader Barkatullah Bulu

Police detained BNP joint secretary general Barkatullah Bulu as he came out of the party central office at Nayapaltan in the city at about 11:30 am on Wednesday.

When contacted, Motijheel police confirmed Bulu’s detention.

However, the reason behind Bulu’s detention could not be known immediately.
 
Earlier, Bulu attended the party press briefing where the BNP-led 18-party alliance called a countrywide daylong hartal for Sunday.
