20-party to nominate candidates coordinately 

Senior Correspondent: The BNP-led 20-party alliance will nominate candidates for Gazipur and Khulna city corporation polls coordinately.

Top leaders of the coalition took the decision in a meeting held at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan political office in Dhaka on Friday night.

However, Jamaat-e-Islami has earlier finalised a candidate for Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) polls. So, the party delegation told the meeting that he will inform their decision after discussing the matter at the party forum.

Meeting sources said discussion was made over LDP leaders’ speeches on seat sharing in the parliamentary election. The coalition leaders expressed their mixed reactions in the meeting. They also promised not make such remarks in future as BNP leaders assured for a balanced distribution of seats in the next general election.
