Want no election under unelected govt: G M Quader

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Party (JP) Co-chairman GM Quader said that his party does want election under any caretaker or unelected government. Rather, They want to participate in the 11th general election under the elected government.

The JP leader said this while speaking at a discussion on the occasion of ‘Democratic Day’ held in the capital’s Banani on Saturday.

JP Metropolitan North Committee arranged the discussion.

GM Quader said, “No caretaker government could ensure equal facilities for all parties during polls-time. JP could not get level-playing field during their tenures. Rather, we had faced injustices. So, we do not want any caretaker or unelected government.”

He further said, “We will participate in all 300 seats across the country under the Mohajote. Decision can be changed if BNP comes to the polls. Then ‘possibly’ no party alone will participate in the election. JP will take part in the polls under Mohajote.”
