Alliance partners to get 55-60 seats: Obaidul Quader

Staff Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has declared that their alliance partners will get 55 to 60 seats for contesting in the upcoming general election.
The Awami League general secretary said this while handing over final nomination papers to its candidates at the party chief's Dhanmondi office on Friday.
Ruling Awami League (AL) has finally announced its candidatures for 240 constituencies for contesting in the upcoming general election, he said.
Around 40 to 42 seats were given to HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party (JP), he said.
A total of five constituencies were finalised for Workers' Party, three for Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) and as many as for Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Inu), two for Jatiya Party (Manju), two for Bangladesh Tariqat Federation and one for Ambia-led JSD, he informed.
