MPs-elect of Oikyafront won’t take oath

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Oikyafront has ruled any possibility of taking oath for the alliance’s lawmakers elected in the 11th general elections will take oath.

Oikyafront leaders Mostofa Mohsin Montu and ASM Abdur Rob said, “None of the Oikyafront MPs elected in the recent parliamentary election will take oath.”

They told this to the reporters following a meeting of the steering committee members at Dr Kamal Hossain’s Motijheel Chamber on Sunday noon.

“We want to say very clearly on the issue of elected lawmakers taking oath that there is no disagreement between the components of Jatiya Oikyafront,” Mohsin, general secretary of Gonoforum, a component of Oikyafront,” said.
