Obaidul Quader smells conspiracy

Senior Correspondent: Remembering the mourning of the month of August, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has urged party leaders and activists to stay on the alert against any conspiracy like August 15.
The Awami League general secretary made the remark on Monday after placing wreaths at the grave of Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at Banani graveyard in the city.
Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said “Who were behind the August 15 incident and August 21 grenade attack are still plotting against the Awami League”.
The 70th birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal is being observed today.
Born on August 5, 1949 at Tungipara in Gopalganj, Sheikh Kamal was a former executive member of the central committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
To mark the day, Awami League, its associate bodies and different political, socio-cultural and sports organisations have taken up elaborate programmes.
Along with other family members, Kamal was martyred on August 15 in 1975 at the age of 26 while he was a Master’s Degree (final year) examinee.
