Nation wants to know motive: Hannan Shah

DHAKA, Sept 20: Bangladesh Nationalist Party standing committee member brigadier general (retd) ASM Hannan Shah on Friday said nation wants to know to the group being assured of prime minister.

“As recently prime minister Sheikh Hasina is visiting different cantonments, question has been raised among the people about her motive. Nation wants to know to the group being assured of you (prime minister),” he said while addressing a discussion on ‘impartial election’ at National Press Club in city.

Hannan Shah said she had gone to Sylhet but he was not schedule to go to the cantonment.

“But she (Hasina) went to the cantonment. And she is also visiting Dhaka cantonment frequently,” the former jute minister said.  

He said as soon as the government assumed power a tragic bloodshed like BDR carnage at Pilkhana in city took place that claimed 57 army officers.     

“Sheikh Hasina becomes deaf and blind. If BNP comes to power the party forming medical team will give her ear and head treatment,” Hannan Shah said.
