Khaleda Zia to observe the fast under quarantine

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will observe the fast under quarantine.

The party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told this to the reporters on Friday.

He said, “Madam (Khaleda) is currently under quarantine. As the country goes through shutdown due to coronavirus outbreak, she is undergoing treatment by her personal physicians. She will observe the fasting under quarantine.”

Fakhrul said, “BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and the acting chairman Tarique Rahman have congratulate Muslims of the world marking the holy Ramadan.

Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, member of Khaleda’s medical team, said she (Khaleda) is currently as same as earlier in physical condition. Diabetes is uncontrolled. She is being given therapy to ease pain.

Khaleda Zia was released from jail on conditions on March 25. Since, she has been at her Gulshan residence ‘Firoza’.
