Faridpur-4 MP Mujibur Rahman Nixon Chowdhury has ruled out allegation of breaching the Electoral Code of Conduct.
In addition, he also demanded actions against Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Faridpur for breaching Electoral Code of Conduct.
He came up with the demand in press briefing at the National Press Club on Tuesday (October 13) afternoon.
At the time, Nixon Chowdhury claimed his innocence and made various allegations against the administration.
Faridpur DC has written to the Election Commission (EC) to take action against Nixon Chowdhury for allegedly threatening the administration at a post by-election rally of Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad.
In briefing Nixon Chowdhury said, “I did not go to Charbhadrasan area during the election, even during the election campaign. After the vote, I went there at request of the administration to calm down the angry leaders and activists.”
He claimed the recording of the phone conversation between him and a local UNO, which has been circulating in social media, was highly edited.
