Ishraque Hossain secures bail

A Dhaka court has granted bail to BNP leader, Ishraque Hossain, who was arrested last year in a case filed over setting a vehicle on fire in Motijheel.

Ishraque Hossain surrendered before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arfatul Rakib and filed a petition on Sunday (January 22).

Meanwhile, the court granted the bail after hearing. Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukdar moved for the petitioner.

On December 5 last year, a court in Dhaka issued an arrest warrant rejecting his bail plea.

Earlier, an FIR was lodged against 42 people in connection with vandalizing and torching vehicles on November 12, 2020. Ishraque was made an accused in the case.
