BNP rally causes severe traffic congestion at Nayapaltan

The pre-scheduled rally of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has started in front of the party office in the capital’s Nayapaltan.

The gathering is increasing around the rally. Traffic on both sides of the road from Nightengale Junction in Kakrail to Fakirapool area has been blocked due to huge the crowd.

Protest rally of BNP started at 10 divisional towns of the country (organizational division of the party) on Saturday (February 4) at 2:00 pm to protest the increase in prices of daily necessities including gas, electricity, rice, pulses and among 10-point demands including the resignation of the government.

The protest rally centrally started in front of the party office in Nayapaltan of the capital after 2:00 pm.

Thousands of leaders and activists have gathered at Nayapaltan since the morning for the rally. The leaders and activists of different units of the party are bringing the procession in groups. Banners, festoons covered the entire area. Nayapaltan is shaking with different slogans. Law enforcement personnel are on alert to keep the situation under control.

On the other hand, BNP like-minded party and alliance leaders are holding rallies at seven more points.
