BNP to hold rallies at all cities today

BNP and its associate bodies will hold rallies at all cities across the country today (March 18) to press home their 10-point demand, including the resignation of the government.

The rallies were scheduled to begin at 2pm at all cities.

The party is likely to announce next course of action from the rally scheduled to be held before the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

Earlier, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced to hold rallies at all cities from the party’s human chain programme held at Nayapaltan office in the capital on Saturday (March 11).

The party’s other demands include dissolution of the current parliament, election under a non-party neutral government, and unconditional release of its Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

BNP and like-minded parties have been holding simultaneous programmes since December 24 last year to press home for their demands.
