Shaukat Mahmood expelled from BNP

BNP vice-chairman Shaukat Mahmood has been expelled from the party on charge of violating party discipline.

A press release signed by BNP assistant office secretary Taiful Islam Tipu confirmed the matter on Tuesday (March 21).

He was expelled from all types of party posts including primary membership post. In a meeting, BNP standing committee members took the decision.

Earlier, the party issued two separate show-cause notices to Shaukat Mahmood for violating the party discipline.
