AL’s various programmes on Genocide Day

The nation is observing the Genocide Day today in remembrance of the brutality carried out by Pakistani Army on the unarmed Bangalees on the black night of March 25 in 1971 under the infamous “Operation Searchlight”.

The Awami League (AL) has chalked out various programmes to mark March 25 as Genocide Day, commemorating genocides carried out by the Pakistan occupation army against the unarmed people of Bangladesh during the Liberation War in 1971.

To mark the day, a discussion meeting will be held in front of the AL central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital at 2pm on Saturday with AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader in the chair.

AL Dhaka city north and south units jointly organized the meeting.
