Noman nominated for Ctg 8 by-polls

Awami League (AL) has nominated Noman Al Mahmud as its candidate for the by-election to Chattogram-8 constituency.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the parliamentary nomination board of Awami League at the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganabhaban on Saturday (March 25). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader confirmed the matter.

Noman is the Chattogram organizing secretary of AL.

The seat fell vacant following the death of Awami League MP Moslem Uddin Ahmed on February 5.
