BNP, allies stage marches today

BNP and its allies will stage marches today (May 23) to press home their 10-point demand, including holding the next general election under a non-party caretaker government.

The Dhaka South and Dhaka North units of BNP will hold separate marches.

As part of the ongoing simultaneous movement, the BNP and its associate bodies and like-minded parties will bring out a procession named Ganotantra Mancha that will start in front of the National Press Club at 11.00am and will end at Bahadur Shah Park.

Apart from BNP, Gonoforum, Ganosamhati Andolan, People’s Party, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote and Peshajibi Ganatantrik Jote will attend Ganotantra Mancha.

From December last year, BNP and like-minded parties and alliances started a simultaneous movement.
