Lawmaker Dr Afsarul Amin no more

Lawmaker of Chittagong-10 and former primary and mass education minister Dr Afsarul Amin died at a hospital in the capital on Friday afternoon (June 2).
He was 65.
Assistant Personal Secretary (APS) Delwar Hossain confirmed the matter.
Dr Afsarul Amin, who had been suffering from cancer for the last two years, breathed his last at Square Hospital in Dhaka around 4 pm today.
Dr Afsarul Amin is the Vice-President of Chattogram City Awami League (AL). He was the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Education. He contested for five consecutive parliamentary elections in the Chattogram-10 constituency with the boat symbol from 1996 to 2018.
