AL announces series of programmes

The ruling Awami Lwague has announced a bunch of programmes inside and outside Dhaka.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif briefed the journalists regarding the programmes after a joint meeting of the party’s central leaders, the presidents and general secretaries of AL’s Dhaka City north and south units, and its affiliated and front organisations.

The meeting was held at the party president’s Dhanmondi office in the capital at 12:00pm on Tuesday (September 19).

On September 23, AL will hold a rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram.

Metropolitan North AL will hold rally in Uttara and South AL at 2:30 pm on September 25, the party will hold rally in Keraniganj on September 26.

Gazipur City AL will hold a rally in Tongi on September 27. On the same day, the Dhaka north unit will hold a rally at Mirpur’s Kafrul area.

A dua mahfil will be organised on September 28 marking the Eid-E-Miladunnabi at the party’s central office in the capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue.

Discussion meeting will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on September 29 marking the birthday of AL President and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On September 30, a farmers’ rally will be held under the initiative of the Krishak League. After that, a rally will be held on the initiative of AL in Chattogram’s Mirsarai on October 4.

The leaders and activists of Awami League and its various affiliated organisations have been asked to participate in these programmes.

Earlier, opposition BNP announced its 15-day programme starting from Tuesday (September 19) to press home its one-point demand.
